A new therapy for insomnia: natural grounding to reduce stress.

失眠新療法 自然接地減壓

Earthing refers to the direct contact between the human body and the Earth's surface electrons, which can be achieved by touching the ground barefoot or using grounding products (such as grounding mats) .

Using a grounding pad ( which is not actually powered when connected to a power source ) is generally considered safe and may be a simple way to improve health.

Grounding mats have scientifically proven health benefits :

1. Reduce inflammation

Studies have shown that grounding can help reduce inflammation and pain markers. A 2015 study published in the Journal of Inflammation Research indicated that grounding can reduce blood viscosity, which helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

2. Improve sleep quality

A 2004 study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that grounded sleepers generally reported improved sleep quality, reduced pain, and lower stress.

3. Reduce stress and regulate emotions

Grounding is associated with the normalization of stress hormone cortisol levels. A preliminary study in 2004 suggested that grounded sleep helps regulate cortisol secretion, thereby improving sleep and reducing stress.

4. Relieve pain

Several small studies and preliminary trials have shown that grounding can help alleviate chronic pain, particularly problems such as arthritis or muscle aches.

5. Boost immunity

Some evidence suggests that grounding may improve immune system function by reducing chronic inflammation.

6. Accelerate recovery

Studies on athletes have shown that grounding after exercise helps reduce muscle damage and accelerates physical recovery.

For best results, it is recommended to use it for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour daily .

If the usage time can be extended (such as several hours, or used while sleeping all night), the effect may be more noticeable.

To improve sleep, place a ground mat on your bed and use it throughout the night. This can help improve sleep quality and the body's repair capabilities.
