A bed-off alarm is a device that alerts caregivers to help an elderly person get out of bed when needed. Here is a use case:
An elderly person with a spinal fracture required prolonged bed rest. Caregivers needed to regularly assist with tasks such as turning the person over and changing bed sheets to prevent pressure sores from developing due to prolonged pressure in the same position. However, the elderly person sometimes attempted to get out of bed when the caregiver was not present, increasing the risk of further falls. To address this issue, the caregivers installed a bed-leaking alarm.
When a patient attempts to get out of bed, the bed exit alarm will sound and flash, alerting caregivers to assist the elderly person if needed. This allows caregivers to provide timely assistance, reducing the risk of falls and lightening their workload.
In the field of nursing care, bed exit alarms are a very important piece of equipment. When a patient attempts to leave the bed, the alarm can sound or light a warning to alert caregivers to help the patient in time, so as to avoid the worsening of the condition or accidents.
In practical use, we found that the alarm system promptly emits sound or light alerts when a patient leaves the bed, reminding caregivers to assist the patient. Furthermore, our alarm system is highly stable and will not trigger false alarms due to external environmental interference, making the care provided to users more reliable.
The simple installation and operation utilize a wireless design, eliminating the need for complex wiring. Simply connect the main unit to the alarm wirelessly. This not only reduces installation difficulty but also increases flexibility and ease of use. In practical use, we found the alarm to be extremely easy to operate, even for those without any technical background.
The optional delayed alarm and low battery alarm feature allows users to select an alarm duration of "0", "2", or "4" seconds, thus avoiding unnecessary alarms and improving ease of use and comfort. The low battery alarm promptly reminds users to replace the battery, ensuring normal device operation and improving safety and reliability.
One receiver can support up to 10 sensor devices at the same time, making it suitable for various application scenarios in homes or institutions.
